I installed the latest  version and apache fails to start with the message:

Code:
Syntax erro on line 45 of /etc/apache2/vhosts.d10_kolab_base.conf:
Invalid command 'LDAP_Server', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration.

I actualy did nothing more the emerging the stuff and bootstrap kolab. Any help would be appreciated. If more info is needed let me know.

Did you emerge the apache server with the "ldap" flag?

Code:
emerge -pv apache

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Yes apache is emerged with ldap flag.

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_auth_ldap.html gives  other syntax for ldap url. But i'm not very familiar with apache.

p.s. Can i find you somewhere on irc maybe?

Do you have "-D LDAP -D AUTH_LDAP" set in your /etc/kolab/templates/conf.d-apache2.template?

I still have some problems. I mentioned it on irc:

15:23 < bbroeksema> emerge -pv ... gives an R so it should be there.. I'll remerge it
15:37 < bbroeksema> so everything seems to start now
15:38 < bbroeksema> but i've no access to the admin part of kolab yet
15:38 < bbroeksema> also apache gives a warning thath _default_ VirtualHost overlap on port 80 but i guess that
has nothing to do with it
15:41 < bbroeksema> in the logfiles i get: invalid method in request \x16\x03\x01
15:43 < bbroeksema> on the machine self: links https://localhost/admin gives an ssl error
15:48 < bbroeksema> er also error_log: LDAP: SSL support unavailable

Problem solved:

dev-lang/php was missing "cgi" use flag. This lead to failure of "kolabconf" and the templates were not being written into the respective config files since /etc/php/cgi-php5 was missing.
