Kolab2/Gentoo deprecated

Hi!

As most you may have noticed there was not much activity during the last year concerning Kolab2/Gentoo. I just did not have any time for the project even though I really wanted to work on it.

I recently left the Gentoo team because of those time constraints. I don't think the situation will improve in the near future. As a consequence I also abandon Kolab2/Gentoo and focus on the current OpenPKG version.

All is not lost: We are currently moving away from OpenPKG for the mainline server version and I will at least discuss the option of moving completely to Gentoo (this would have to be "Gentoo prefix" though). Chances are not too high that this will happen as the other developers prefer pkgsrc.

The discussion will take place on the Kolab development mailing list. Feel free to join the discussions if you want to push the Gentoo option for the server.

I cleaned this forum now - a lot of spam has accumulated during the last year. And I locked it down to read access.

Thanks for using Kolab2/Gentoo. It was a fun ride and I hope it somehow continues...
