cyrus defaultdomain/virtualdomain

Authentication to cyrus-imapd only works if I provide the user as

    userid@domain

but since most users belongs to one major domain I would like to login only with

     userid

In the cyrus docs is written, that you can set defaultdomain in imapd.conf which should be automatically appended if the domain part is missing.

Unfortunately this does not work with Gentoo/Kolab. Does anybody know how I should proceed?

Set the "userid" into the "UID" field in the webadmin frontend. The UID is an alternate (and usually shorter) login name for your users.
