Guide to migrating to Kontact with Kolab?

Hey all,
I'm newly migrating to kolab with kontact from evolution and exchange. I'm have a surprisingly difficult time finding any good documentation discussing setting up kontact to use kolab. Using it as an IMAP server is pretty straight forward, but things like shared calendars and contacts are seeming a bit more tricky, not to mention trying to get all this stuff ready to import from outlook/evolution. I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good guide for setting up kontact to play nice with kolab. TIA.

In principle the "kolabwizard" tool should take care of configuring Kontact correctly for the Kolab server. But the documentation of Kontact could also be a lot better in many regards. I am no contact expert and if you have specific problems I'd sugget direction questions to the kolab-users mailing group. That is probably the best choice for getting information.
Cheers,
Gunnar

It took me a little while but I it all up and running. I decided to setup IMAP in Kontact without Kolab so that atleast I would have my mail and found I could share everything through IMAP. It seems to work sync well between computers, but I haven't tested the multiuser functions yet (free/busy, etc) and I wonder if I'm missing any of the Kolab functionality just using it as an IMAP server.

I don't think so. I haven't been able to get users to be able to see other users calendars, nor can a single user see their calendar on more than 1 machine. The calendar shows up in the IMAP mail folders, but even after adding it in kalendar, the events never load.
Is there a better way to run this? How are you all doing this?

As mentioned just running the "kolabwizard" tool (it is part of the kontact package) should configure kontact for kolab without any trouble.
Cheers,
Gunnar
