I was curious if anyone had found a solution to the ldap_simple_bind problem. I ask because it seems like toltec is stalling or freezing outlook while waiting for the retry. Usually while "Gathering Information" or midway through fetching IMAP messages.

Nov  4 16:17:11 localhost saslauthd[5253]: ldap_simple_bind() failed -1 (Can't contact LDAP server).
Nov  4 16:17:11 localhost saslauthd[5253]: Retrying authentication

I didn't so far. I did give the corresponding code a detailed look once but I was not able to determine a trivial cause for the message. It seemed to be something like a race condition but that was only a vague guess.

I did never experience a negative effect from the issue though. Are certain the toltec lockups are related? Maybe that could help to make the issue reproduceable and debuggable.

Cheers,

Gunnar

I think you're right, the two are unrelated. If it helps the bind error is generated during login whenever I use TLS authentication.

It appears that Toltec is downloading every message which doesn’t have the \Seen flag set  (ie: Spam Folder) even if only one message is new. After reaching a threshold it pauses, waits 2 minutes, and resumes downloading. I sent an email to Toltec to get some feedback.

Hmm, after a little more investigation the spam folder has allot of email which Toltec isn’t appending the Toltec.dat file. On each sync it’s pulling all those emails and not doing anything with them.
