Hi!
A short message to initiate this board that I will use for up-to-date information about Horde development progress.
Horde CVS has seen plenty of Kolab specific changes and fixes over the last year. These were only available within CVS during that time. This made it extremely hard to install the software from a users point of view and also led to a high instability.
With the first release of Horde 3.2 ALPHA (see
http://www.horde.org) the fixes have become available as a package rather than a CVS snapshot for the first time. As a consequence installation should become much easier. p@rdus will always provide Kolab specific Horde patches for the latest release at
http://hg.pardus.deMost of these patches will also be applied to Horde CVS if somehow possible. So with the next Horde release you should see the number of patches drop.
The current combination of Horde-3.2-ALPHA plus the patches at
http://hg.pardus.de/cgi-bin/hg.cgi/horde/HORDE_3_2_ALPHA/ has seen not too many bug reports so far and even cross-client compatibility (Kontact, Outlook) looks really good. So I hope you will see new features rather than bug fixes during the next year.
Cheers,
Gunnar
