I got past the syntax error fixed by mod_authn_alias shared thanks to Gunnar. I have another apache syntax problem however that is causing apache not to start.

Code:
Apache2 has detected a syntax error in your configuration files:
Syntax error on line 45 of /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/10_kolab_base.conf:
Invalid command 'LDAP_Server', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

I checked my apache install and it was emerged with the ldap use flag.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason

10_kolab_base.conf is a file that should not exist anymore within /etc/apache2/vhosts.d.

This probably originates from an old template in /etc/kolab/templates.

This is currently still a problem since old templates don't get removed automatically. You'll have to care for that yourself if you have your /etc directory config-protected.

The template was gone, but I just realized I did a rm /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/kolab* when I should have done a rm /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/*kolab* and then a kolabconf.

Thanks,
Jason
